The fusing of Hip Hop and Rock was bound to happen with Run-DMC alongside Aerosmith trailblazing the path on their break out smash “Walk This Way” which combined the two genres to conceive a marriage made in both Heaven and Hell. Both are similar in its rebelliousness, its ability to move you in such an emotional way, and F the world attitude. It was only right that I take the Staten Island Wallabee Champ Tony Starks better known as Ghostface Killah and combine him with the mega popular multi platinum band The Killers to create a mash up like never before. With Ghostface ability for storytelling, unique rhyme flow pattern beside The Killers catalog of absolutely hot music this mix tape is straight fire. DJ/Producer Vakashi Sensei breaks down The Killers song “Andy You’re a Star” onto Ghostface’s street smash “Apollo Kids”, even adding to street classics like “Criminology” and taking a sample from The Killers “Uncle Johnny”. This mix tape is dope on so many levels, from the concept to the recreation of many great tunes from these artists; it goes hard from begin to end

The early 90's was a great time for Hip Hop music, emcees were at their pinnacle and in the forefront was a young legend hailing from Queens by the name of Nas. With already 2 albums under his belt "Illmatic" and "It Was Written", his third album "I AM" came on the verge off the bling era. Though this album was not heralded as one of Nas more epic creations, it still was a significant album being a turning point in the career of Nas. Take a listen as DJ/Producer Vakashi Sensei out of Philadeladelphia reworks the tracks off of "I AM" to give it new life and another perspective.
